Ted Gipson is a Native of Conroe, Texas. His parents were D. Z. Gipson and Ted Gipson Sr. Ted has two living siblings, a sister and a brother. He has five children and four grandchildren.
Ted attended Booker T. Washington High School in Conroe during his school years (1-12). He was a member of the "65 and 66" State Football Championship Teams. He played offensive and defensive end. Carl Leveston, James Harris, Lewis Traylor, and Willie Hicks were some of the members of those championship teams. Ted graduated Booker T. Washington High School in 1966 and feels his teachers and coaches helped to make him a better person. He gives them all the credit and thanks.
He was in the United States Army during the years of 68-71. After the service, he lived in California for seventeen years, where he worked for Southern Cal Gas Company for ten years. He is now retired from Empowerment Options in Conroe. He is currently a singer and song writer who is enjoying life to the fullest.
