Coach Eldridges Small attended I.M. Terrell High School in Fort Worth, Texas, where he participated in basketball and track. He was known for his outstanding abilities on the basketball court.
After high school, he attended Texas College in Tyler, Texas where he earned his Bachelor's degree. He later earned his Master's degree from Texas Women's University.
Coach Small began his coaching career in the Fort Worth ISD. He coached at several schools including Kirkpatrick High School where his basketball teams won District Championships. He was known as an outstanding basketball coach who developed many talented players.
Throughout his career, Coach Small was recognized for his basketball coaching expertise and his ability to mentor young athletes. His teams were consistently competitive and well-prepared.
Coach Small's legacy lives on through the many student-athletes whose lives he touched during his years as a coach and educator.
