Easter Gabriel attended C.H. Webster High School, Minden, LA, and was one of the premier female track and field athletes during the PVIL era. She was renowned for her speed and athleticism.
Easter attended Prairie View A&M University where she continued her outstanding track career. She was part of championship relay teams and competed at national meets.
She represented the United States in international competition and won medals at the Pan American Games. Her achievements helped elevate women's track and field in Texas.
The PVILCA is proud to honor Easter Gabriel with the PVIL-UIL Bridging the Gap Award for Track.
