Rev Danny L. Thomas graduated from L.C. Anderson High School in Austin in 1969. Danny played three years for L. C. Anderson football team and was selected to the all-district football team in 1969. He was a one year football letterman. Thomas received an Associate's Degree in Law Enforcement from Austin Community College in 1975. He went on to become a Police officer with the Austin Police Department for 21 years and then elected City Councilmember Place six for two terms, the last term he served as Mayor Pro Tern. Currently, he is the Constable for Travis County Constable Precinct One, where he has served two terms. Thomas is in the process of receiving his BS in Bible studies from The Mount Olive Bible Institution.
Thomas is the Assistant Pastor at First Baptist Church in Austin, TX where he has been a member for over 50 years. Thomas is married to Gay Thomas with two sons, two daughters and three grandchildren.
