Clem Daniels attended Phillis Wheatley High School in Houston, Texas, where he was a standout football player. After high school, he attended Prairie View A&M University.
Clem went on to have a legendary professional career with the Oakland Raiders in the American Football League (AFL). He was one of the top running backs in the AFL and helped establish the Raiders as a championship contender.
He was a four-time AFL All-Star and helped the Raiders reach the AFL Championship game. His success in the AFL helped open doors for other African American players.
