Charlie Copeland Jr. attended M.L Kirkpatrick High School, Fort Worth, TX., where he graduated in 1968. Charlie was an outstanding athlete who achieved many honors during his high school years, where he excelled in track.
He was on the 1967 State Championship basketball team and was an all state receiver in football. He had 11 touchdowns in his senior year.
Charlie was anchorman on the National High School record setting 440 yard relay team, 41.1/ converted to 40.9 for 400 meters in 1968.
He attended Howard County Junior College in Big Spring, Texas, on a track scholarship where he was voted outstanding athlete at the Southwest Recreational Track Meet in 1969.
Charlie was employed at T-Cam Medical College for 12 years and for Fort Worth ISD as a campus monitor and a coach's aide at Forest Oaks Middle School.
He is a member of Inspiring Temple of Praise in Fort Worth. He is one of eight children and his mother is Katherine Copeland Johnson, who is a beautiful 80 plus years. Charlie has three sons and one daughter.
