Jefferson Davis, Jr. is a native of Corsicana, Texas where he was a two sport athlete during his High School career at G. W. Jackson High School.

Jeff was co-captain of the 1953 State Championship Jackson Bears. He lettered in two sports and was an ALL STATE END.

After graduation he attended Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas on a four year scholarship. He was All Southwest Athletic Conference End his sophomore year.

Jefferson Davis, Jr. earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Texas Southern University and his Master of Arts Degree from North Texas State University.

After graduating from Texas Southern University in 1958 he coached High School football at Trinity High School in Trinity, Texas for one year.

Jeff was drafted into the Armed Service in 1959 and served two years 1959-1961.

In 1961 he was hired as an assistant coach at I.M. Terrell High School by his High School Coach, Walter E. Day for a period of 30 days before being recalled into the Armed Forces.

After his discharge from the Armed Forces in 1962 he returned to Fort Worth Independent School District as Teacher Coach at Como Junior Senior High School. During his nine (9) years at Como, he was Junior High Head Coach, Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach and Head track coach. He had an athlete to place as a quarter miler at the UIL State Meet in 1968.

In 1971 Jeff went to O.D. Wyatt High School as Assistant Football Coach and Head Track Coach.

Jeff was hired in 1972 as Assistant Principal at Everman High School and served for seven years.

He is currently Assistant Superintendent for Administration for the Everman Independent School District.
