Coach Williams graduated from Dunbar High School in Lubbock, Texas where he starred in football and basketball. He attended Prairie View University where he was a member of the 1953 National Championship Team. He also served as an assistant coach at P.V. His coaching career include football championships in '57, '58, '62, '63, and '67. State football championships in 1963, state track championships in '62, '63 and '68.
Prenis was "Coach of the Year" in 1962 and served on the selection committee of the Texas High School Allstar football team as chairman. As a member of the Texas University's coaching staff in 1974 and 1975 he was instrumental in the Gator Bowl and Blue Bonnet Bowl championships. He is a member of 18 professional organizations including the THSCA, and the AFCA, National Recreation and Parks Association and many others. Currently he serves as Administrative Program Specialist Division of State Funding, School Facilities, and Transportation in Austin, Texas.
