Coach Grant graduated from San Marcos High School where he was a star in track, football and basketball. At Prairie View he 'became a member of several nationally known track teams, including Cross Country, and football. He got his BA and masters degree while coaching several schools to state and National Recognition. He coached several professional athletes and is a favorite speaker at track clinics throughout the nation.
At Grand Prairie he coached 9 district titles and two state championships in track and at South Oak Cliffs in Dallas he won 7 city championships and 1 state title.
His honors include Coach of the Year in 1983, honoree referee of the Keeber Meet in Chicago and meet director of several track meets throughout Texas. He is a member of several organizations and he and his wife Dorothy have three children. The TAACA welcomes Boston P. "Dad" Grant into our Hall of Honor.
