Ray Dohn Dillon graduated from Central High in Galveston, Texas where he participated in football, basketball, and track. He attended Prairie View A&M University and earned a Bachelor of Science while participated in football, basketball and track. Mr. Dillon coached at Galveston's Central High from 1955 to 1968 under his expert leadership the school became state champions in 1964. He retired from coaching in 1974. But was chosen "Alpha Man of the Year" in 1982 and inducted into the Prairie View Sports Hall of Fame in 1988. Among his many other accomplishments as the Southwest Conference Track Champion four years in a row between 1948 and 1952.
