Mayor Pro-Tem Bert Charles Williams coached the varsity basketball team just one year at Kirkpatrick High School and won the State Championship of Texas at Austin in 1972. The next year he went into the insurance business and has become one of the richest and most influential personalities in Stop Six, Texas. He later was elected to the Fort Worth City Council and has had a lasting effect on Stop Six and the entire city of Fort Worth.
Bert graduated from Dunbar High School in Texarkana, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Bishop College, playing football and basketball in Tiger Land. He later became a junior high basketball coach at Kirkpatrick. His one year varsity record was 34-5.
