Coach Lucius "Fish" Davis, who was an outstanding Track and Field coach and assistant Football coach, made his most significant contributions in the field of athletics through the hearts of the many boys and girls whose lives he touched.
Coach Davis graduated from Texas College where he starred in football, after which he received his masters from S.M.U. He made All-American in 1936 and began his coaching career at Lincoln High School in 1942 where he retired in 1956. Although he was an outstanding track coach at Lincoln in 1949 he also served as acting head football coach, when Lincoln beat Port Arthur Lincoln for the state championship. Coach Davis greatest contribution has been his service to the community and to the many students whose lives he touched.
