"Dog Face" graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Dallas, Texas, and Prairie View A&M where he participated in Track and Baseball. After receiving his BS and MS Degrees from Southern University and Prairie View, he coached at Dunbar High School in Temple, Texas and Anderson High School in Austin, Texas where he won several state titles in track and district titles in basketball. He has been the recipient of many outstanding awards and belonged to numerous organizations before retiring in 1969.
