Clifton Ozen was born in Port Arthur, Texas. He graduated from Hebert High, where he was an all around athlete. After graduating from Hebert he received a football scholarship to Texas College, where he was an All Conference and All America for the late Alexander Durley.
After finishing college he was named Assistant Football Coach at Hebert under head Coach James Jackson, who is now Principal at Hebert. He became Head Coach at Hebert in 1959, and won the State his first year. He compiled a 147-30-4 record including 4 District and 2 State titles in 16 years at Hebert as Head Coach.
He is Assistant Principal at Hebert now.
